My Favorite Food

My favorite food is homemade pizza. I love the warm smell that comes from the oven. The crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My mom lets me help in the kitchen. I spread the red tomato sauce with a spoon, sprinkle cheese, and add mushrooms and small pieces of chicken. The cheese melts and stretches when we pull a slice. I take the first bite carefully because it is hot. It tastes salty, a little sweet, and very yummy.

I like pizza because we can change the toppings every time. Sometimes we add corn or olives. On Fridays we watch a movie and eat pizza together. It makes me feel cozy and happy. I know pizza is not the healthiest food, so I also drink water and eat a small salad. One day I want to learn to make the dough by myself. Pizza is my favorite because it is delicious and it brings my family together.
