Hi Emma,

Greetings from Italy! I’m staying in a small hotel near the beach in Sorrento. The place is lovely — my room has a balcony that looks out over the sea, and every evening I can watch the sunset while listening to the sound of the waves. The weather has been perfect — warm and sunny, just right for exploring.

Yesterday I took a boat trip to Capri. The island was absolutely beautiful! I walked around the narrow streets, visited the Blue Grotto, and had the most delicious lemon gelato I’ve ever tasted. I also did a bit of shopping and bought you a small souvenir.

For the next few days, I’m planning to visit Pompeii and maybe take a cooking class to learn how to make real Italian pasta. I’m also hoping to spend some lazy afternoons just relaxing by the beach.
