  1. Mia decorated the house a week ago.
The house was decorated (by Mia) a week ago.

  2. She hasn't answered.

  • She hasn’t answered the letter. → The letter hasn’t been answered (by her).

  1. I do my homework every day.
My homework is done (by me) every day.

  2. Do they teach French at this school?
Is French taught at this school?

  3. I don't like people shouting at me.
I don’t like being shouted at.
    (Это пассив: being shouted at.)

  4. Who smashed the kitchen window?
Who was the kitchen window smashed by?
Who was the kitchen window smashed?
By whom was the kitchen window smashed?

  5. The police are questioning the suspects.
The suspects are being questioned (by the police).

  6. Keith had left the motorbike outside the house.
The motorbike had been left outside the house (by Keith).

  7. They won't have completed the work by the end of the month.
The work won’t have been completed by the end of the month.

  8. The children will post the letters.
The letters will be posted (by the children).

  9. We asked for coffee while they were preparing the bill.

  • Coffee was asked for (by us) while the bill was being prepared.
(“Coffee was asked for” звучит немного формально, но грамматически верно.)

  1. Has anyone peeled the carrots?
    Have the carrots been peeled?

  2. Someone had eaten all the food by the time I got there.
All the food had been eaten by the time I got there.

  3. She didn't go to school yesterday.

  4. Bob made a fantastic puppet.
A fantastic puppet was made (by Bob).
