To Lie or Not to Lie

I think it is better not to lie. A lie may look small, but it can make other people stop trusting us. Trust is very important in family, school, and friendship.

Sometimes people lie because they are afraid of trouble. For example, a student may say that he forgot his notebook at home, but really he did not do the homework. This may help for one day, but later the problem becomes bigger.

It is not always easy to tell the truth. We can speak honestly and kindly. If we made a mistake, it is better to say sorry and try to fix it.

So, I choose not to lie. The truth helps people feel safe with each other and makes a person stronger.
