Raccoons are small animals that often live near forests, rivers, and sometimes near people’s homes. They have gray fur, a black mask around their eyes, and a fluffy tail with dark rings.

Raccoons are very clever. At night they look for food: berries, nuts, insects, fish, and sometimes leftovers. They can use their paws almost like hands, so they open boxes, wash food in water, and climb trees easily.

One little raccoon lived near a quiet river. Every evening it came out of its tree hollow and searched for food with its family. It was curious and careful. When it heard a strange sound, it quickly climbed up a tree and watched from above. The raccoon learned that being smart and cautious helps animals survive in the wild.
