Who influences a teenager more: parents or friends?

Teenagers are influenced by both parents and friends. In my opinion, parents have a stronger influence because they teach children important values from an early age. Parents show what is right and wrong, help with difficult choices and support their children when they have problems.

However, friends are also very important. Teenagers spend a lot of time with their friends, so they often copy their behaviour, interests and style. Friends can motivate a teenager to study better, do sport or try something new. But they can also have a bad influence if they encourage risky actions.

I think the best situation is when a teenager has caring parents and good friends. Parents give experience and support, while friends help a teenager feel understood. Both sides influence a young person, but parents usually play the main role.
