Baikal: The Blue Heart of Siberia

Lake Baikal is one of the most beautiful natural places in Russia. It is located in Siberia, between Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia. Many people call it a natural wonder because it is the deepest lake in the world.

Baikal is famous for its clear fresh water, rocky shores, small bays and mountain views. In winter the lake is covered with thick transparent ice, and in summer visitors can see blue water, sandy beaches and green valleys near the shore.

The nature around Baikal is rich and unusual. There are pine, cedar and birch forests, bright wild flowers and many birds. The most famous animal is the Baikal seal, which lives only in this lake.

I think everyone should visit Lake Baikal at least once. It is a peaceful place where you can walk, take photos and feel the power of nature.
