2. He (watch) TV an hour ago. He (watch) TV from 4 till 6 yesterday.
3. My little sister (sleep) after dinner yesterday. She (sleep) when I came home.
4. Last month we (pass) two exams. We (pass) an exam the whole day yesterday.
5. When I came home, my little sister (play) with her toys.
6. When father (come), I (do) my homework.
7. When I (see) my friends, they (play) football.
8. When I (open) the door, my cat (sit) on the kitchen table and (eat) fish from my plate.
9. While I was eating a hot dog, my little brother (eat) porridge.
10. While my mom (cook) supper, my father (watch) TV.

Past Simple используется, когда действие просто произошло в прошлом. Past Continuous используется, когда действие длилось в определённый момент или промежуток времени в прошлом.

• 3. My little sister slept after dinner yesterday. She was sleeping when I came home.

• 6. When father came, I was doing my homework.
• 7. When I saw my friends, they were playing football.
• 8. When I opened the door, my cat was sitting on the kitchen table and was eating fish from my plate.
• 9. While I was eating a hot dog, my little brother was eating porridge.
• 10. While my mom was cooking supper, my father was watching TV.
