Кратко о выборе времени:

• Present Continuous — действие происходит прямо сейчас или в данный момент: is singing, are you sitting, I’m going, he’s cooking.

• Present Simple — привычки, регулярные действия, факты, предпочтения и глаголы состояния: do you read, wants, don’t understand, finishes, doesn’t like, prefers.

Например, в № 5 слово now не всегда означает Present Continuous: глагол want обычно не употребляется в длительном времени, поэтому правильно She wants, а не She is wanting.
