1. Yes, I enjoy reading both novels and poetry, although I probably read novels more often. My favourite kinds of books are historical fiction, mystery novels, and realistic stories about people’s lives. I also enjoy poetry when I want to read something short but meaningful. My favourite authors include Jane Austen because of her intelligent and humorous novels, Agatha Christie for her exciting detective stories, and George Orwell for his clear and thought-provoking writing.

My friend reads much less fiction than I do. She prefers biographies and books about psychology, while I usually choose stories with interesting characters and plots.

2. Yes, I go to the cinema several times a year, especially when there is a film that looks visually impressive or is better on a large screen. I usually decide what to see by watching a trailer, reading a short description of the plot, and checking who directed or acted in the film. I also pay attention to recommendations from friends because people with similar tastes can often suggest something enjoyable. However, I do not choose a film only because it is popular. The story and the actors are more important to me than special effects.

My friend usually chooses comedies or romantic films because she goes to the cinema mainly to relax. I am more likely to choose a drama, thriller, or science-fiction film.

I enjoy Interstellar because it combines science fiction with a powerful story about family and human relationships.

Some of my favourite actors are Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, and Benedict Cumberbatch. I admire Tom Hanks because he can play both serious and humorous roles naturally. Leonardo DiCaprio is impressive because he chooses challenging characters, while Meryl Streep is famous for her ability to become completely different in every role. Benedict Cumberbatch is also a talented actor, especially in intelligent and complex roles.
