8. Interview your partner about their last birthday. Ask if they had a birthday party/birthday cake, what they did, where they went, what games they played, what presents their family members gave them, if they liked their birthday and why.

Interview about my partner’s last birthday

Me: When was your last birthday?
My partner: My last birthday was on the 15th of May.

Me: Did you have a birthday party?
My partner: Yes, I did. I had a small birthday party with my family and close friends.

Me: Did you have a birthday cake?
My partner: Yes. It was a delicious chocolate cake with strawberries and candles on it.

Me: What did you do on your birthday?
My partner: In the morning, my family congratulated me and gave me presents. In the afternoon, we went to a café. In the evening, we came home, ate the birthday cake, listened to music, took photos and watched a funny film.

Me: Where did you go?
My partner: We went to my favourite café in the city centre and later walked in the park.

Me: What games did you play?
My partner: We played board games, charades and a quiz game. Charades was the funniest game because everyone made silly gestures.

Me: What presents did your family members give you?
My partner: My parents gave me a new smartphone. My sister gave me a book and a T-shirt. My grandparents gave me some money, and my aunt gave me a box of chocolates.

Me: Did you like your birthday? Why?
My partner: Yes, I liked it very much because I spent the day with the people I love. The party was cheerful, the food was delicious, and the presents were wonderful. It was a very happy and memorable day.
