Part 1

How much television do you watch per day?

I usually watch television for about one or two hours a day. On weekdays, I normally watch something in the evening after I have finished my work or studies. At weekends, I sometimes spend a little more time watching TV, especially when I find an interesting series. However, I try not to watch it for too long because I also enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with friends.

Who do you normally watch TV with?

Most of the time, I watch TV on my own because it allows me to choose exactly what I want to watch and pause the programme whenever I need to. However, I sometimes watch films or popular shows with my family. Watching television together can be a good way to relax and gives us something interesting to discuss afterwards.

What kinds of TV programmes do you enjoy the most?

I particularly enjoy drama series, documentaries, and comedy programmes. I like dramas because they usually have complex characters and exciting storylines. Documentaries are also interesting because they teach me something new about history, science, nature, or different cultures. When I feel tired or stressed, I prefer watching a light comedy because it helps me relax and improves my mood.

What is your favourite TV programme at the moment?

My favourite TV programme at the moment is The Crown. It is a historical drama about the British royal family and the major political and social events that took place during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. I enjoy it because the acting is excellent, the costumes and locations are impressive, and the story combines personal relationships with important historical events.

Part 2

I would like to describe a TV drama series called The Crown, which is one of the most memorable series I have watched.

The series focuses on the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It shows how she became queen at a relatively young age and how she had to balance her responsibilities as a monarch with her private life as a wife, mother, and sister. Each season covers a different period of British history and presents important events involving the royal family, the government, and British society.

The role of Queen Elizabeth II is played by different actresses because the characters become older as the story develops. Claire Foy plays the young queen in the first two seasons, Olivia Colman takes over the role in the middle seasons, and Imelda Staunton portrays her later in life. Other well-known actors include Matt Smith as Prince Philip, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret, and Helena Bonham Carter as the older Princess Margaret.

There are several reasons why I like this series. First of all, it is visually impressive. The costumes, palaces, landscapes, and formal ceremonies are presented in great detail, so the programme feels very realistic. Secondly, I find the characters fascinating because they are shown as complicated human beings rather than simply as famous historical figures. They experience family disagreements, loneliness, jealousy, and pressure, just like ordinary people.

I also enjoy the series because it encourages me to learn more about modern British history. Although some scenes have been created for dramatic purposes, many of the events are based on real historical situations. After watching an episode, I often become curious and read more about the people or events shown in it.

Finally, the series explores the conflict between personal happiness and public duty. Queen Elizabeth often has to hide her emotions and make difficult decisions because of her position. This makes the story both emotional and thought-provoking. For these reasons, The Crown is a TV drama series that I find entertaining, educational, and extremely well produced.
