3. Would you like to work as a newscaster or a news reporter?
4. What is your favourite news programme?
5. What's the best satellite news station, BBC, CNN, other?

1. News is information about recent or important events. Something becomes news when it is new, unusual, important for many people, or connected with famous people, disasters, discoveries, politics, sport or culture.

2. The phrase No news is good news means that if you have not heard any bad information, everything is probably all right. For example, if a person is travelling and does not call, we may hope that nothing bad has happened.

3. I think working as a news reporter could be interesting, because reporters meet different people and learn about important events. But it is also a difficult job, because they must be quick, careful and responsible.

4. My favourite news programme is a short evening news programme, because it gives the main events of the day clearly and quickly.

5. I think the BBC and CNN are both well-known satellite news channels. The BBC is often associated with calm and detailed reporting, while CNN is famous for fast international news coverage. The best choice depends on what kind of news a person wants to watch.
