At the Airport

An airport is a place where people travel by plane. It is usually very big and busy. Many passengers come there with their bags and documents. First, they go to the check-in desk and get a boarding pass. Then they pass security control.

At the airport people can wait in the departure hall, buy food, read books or look at the planes through the windows. When the flight is ready, passengers go to the gate and get on the plane.

I think airports are interesting places because people there travel to different cities and countries. Some people fly for work, and others go on holiday. The airport helps them start their journey.
