Should Violent Video Games Be Banned?

Violent computer games are very popular with children and teenagers. Some parents think that these games should be banned because they can show fighting, weapons and cruel behaviour.

There are some advantages of a ban. Young children may copy aggressive characters or become afraid after playing such games. A ban could also help parents protect children from unsuitable content. However, banning all violent games has disadvantages. Not every player becomes aggressive, and many games teach teamwork, quick thinking and problem-solving. Parents can use age ratings and control how long their children play.

In my opinion, violent video games should not be completely banned. It is better to limit them by age and for parents to choose suitable games for their children.
