To many people, Red Square is a symbol of Russian history and culture. I'm sure that tourists from different countries would like to see it.

I agree that a national symbol should be well known and meaningful. It is good when it reminds people of their country's past and makes them proud. It does not matter whether the symbol is old or modern; it is important that people respect it.
