- 3. Barbara said that she had laid the book on a table.
- 4. They walked out of the room without saying a word.
- 5. I have told you not to do that.
- 6. I'm going to tell him the truth.
- 7. My son needs new shoes. His old ones are too small, they don't fit any more.
- 8. Would you like some juice? — No, thanks. I never drink juice before meal.
- 9. I’m looking for a job.
Short note: lay means “put something somewhere”, and lie means “rest in a horizontal position”.
