Group A: Arguments FOR the statement

The Internet has more positive aspects than negative ones because it has improved people’s lives in many ways. People use it to get informed, for educational purposes, and to communicate through social media sites. We have easy access to information, which helps us learn new things and save time in our everyday lives.

If people had not created the Internet, we would not have been able to develop online education, work from home, or communicate with people around the world so easily. The Internet could have made our lives much harder if it had not provided us with useful services and information. I wish everyone used the Internet only for positive reasons because it can be a very powerful tool.

The Internet also helps businesses and students work faster and more efficiently. People can find answers to their questions in seconds instead of spending hours searching for information. If only people had used the Internet responsibly from the beginning, there would have been fewer problems connected with it. Users should have learned how to protect their personal information and avoid dangerous websites.

Group B: Arguments AGAINST the statement

The Internet does not always have more positive aspects than negative ones because it can create many dangers. Some people become addicted to the Internet, waste time online, and stop socialising in real life. There are also inappropriate sites, false information, and hackers who can steal personal details.

If people had been more careful online, they would not have lost their private information to hackers. Some users could have avoided many problems if they had checked information before believing it. I wish there were fewer dangers on the Internet because it affects people’s lives in negative ways.

The Internet can also be harmful to people’s mental health because spending too much time online may make people feel isolated. People should have used technology more responsibly to prevent addiction and reduce the amount of time wasted online. If only everyone understood the risks of the Internet, there would be fewer problems caused by it.
