I can't say I wasn't!
... Martin - I mean, my friends Kelly and Sue were
always telling me he was untrustworthy, and that he wasn't the right guy for me. They always seemed 2
..him - they were quiet in his presence,
and watched him carefully, and they said I shouldn't 3 ........ him because he wasn't honest, but of course, I didn't listen. Martin seemed perfect. He was always 4 .... me - you know, telling me I looked great in a dress, or that my hair looked great. And he was really supportive. When I lost my purse, Martin told me not to worry and, the next day, bought me a new one. My sister 5 ..... me about that. 'Oh, your boyfriend is rich as well as handsome,' she said. 'He's every girl's dream.' I told her not to be silly, but I was secretly pleased. I 6
him completely, and even kept a photo of
him next to my bed. He was kind, good-looking and I had a lot of him. We even liked the same films. He was the perfect boyfriend. But then, a few weeks ago, everything changed. He stopped texting me all the time and once, when I saw him on the bus with his friends, he ignored me. That really 8
.... me! I was so upset. I didn't want us to split up, but clearly
he didn't care anymore. I've stopped waiting for him to call. In fact, now, I wouldn't speak to him even if he did call.
