My Classmates’ Plans for the Future

I asked my classmates about their plans after Year 9 and Year 11. Most students have already started thinking about their future education and careers.

After Year 9, some of my classmates are going to stay at school and continue their education in Years 10 and 11. They want to get a complete secondary education and prepare for university. Other students plan to enter colleges. They would like to study professions such as computer programming, design, medicine, cooking or engineering.

After Year 11, many classmates are planning to take the Unified State Exam and enter universities. Some of them want to become teachers, doctors, lawyers, IT specialists or economists. A few students would like to work first and continue their education later.

I think that choosing a future profession is an important decision. My classmates understand that they should study hard now to achieve their goals.
