My foreign pen friend

I have a foreign pen friend. His name is Tom, and he lives in England. We became friends because we like many of the same things and enjoy talking to each other.

There are five things that show that we are friends. First, we write messages and letters to each other regularly. Second, we tell each other about our families, schools and hobbies. Third, we help each other learn new words in English and Russian. Fourth, we remember important dates, for example birthdays. Fifth, we share photos and drawings about our everyday life.

Tom is kind, friendly and funny. He is also curious because he likes learning about other countries. I like talking to him because he listens carefully and always answers honestly.

I think it is important to have foreign pen friends because we learn more about different cultures and traditions. It also helps us practise a foreign language in a real situation. Such friendship teaches us to respect people who live in other countries.

For photos and drawings, you can add a picture of your friend's country, your letters or messages, flags, school life, hobbies, or a drawing of two friends from different countries.
